The design of this product derives from the National Palace Museum ‘s collection, “Cup with design of chickens, rocks and flower in doucai color, Chenghua reign (1465-1487), Ming dynasty”. The cup lip is also referred to as lip bowl. The cup lid presents the best tea drinking culture and was originally used by a rich family. The whole set consists of a cup lid, tea bowl and tea tray. The cup lid preserves the tea aroma, tea bowl enables the tea leaves to be completely soaked, and tea try provides protection. Chicken has the similar sound of “auspiciousness” symbolizing good fortune. The cockscomb of the hen means advancement in one’s career while the hen presents the continuous life and auspiciousness (pregnancy).
